Pope Francis has invited everyone to participate in a dialogue with one another and with the worldwide Catholic Church as part of his Synod on Synodality. During this important listening phase, we are tasked with discerning what it means to be Church and where the Holy Spirit is calling us.
As women, in particular, we may experience both HOPE and RESISTANCE at this invitation. How do we engage authentically, critically, and faithfully? How do we answer the call of the Holy Spirit even in the midst of heartbreak, betrayal, and rejection by the institutional church?
Catholic Women’s Council invites you to join women around the world on this journey for a listening session, hosted by the member groups of North America.
During this session, we will engage in prayer, sharing, and collective discernment, particularly on themes of HOPE and RESISTANCE.
We will conclude our interactive gathering with a theological reflection by Kimberly M. Lymore, MDiv, DMin., Associate Minister, St. Sabina Church, Chicago, IL
We look forward to your participation.
